Short information on the speaker: Dr. Rose has more than 12 years of experience working in higher education. She joined Florida Gulf Coast University’s Daveler & Kauanui School of Entrepreneurship in the Spring of 2021 as an Assistant Professor. Prior to working at FGCU, Dr. Rose served as Professor of Business and Entrepreneurship for Florida SouthWestern State College, Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York University School of Professional Studies, Adjunct Instructor at Nyack College School of Business and Leadership, and Adjunct Instructor at Union County College.

Title: The Greatest Among the Great
Abstract: This paper highlights four of the greatest scientists, referred to as “The Greatest Among the Great”, whose contributions have profoundly impacted human knowledge, scientific advancement, and philosophical thought. The selected scientists are Pythagoras, Archimedes, Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi, Josip Ruđer Bošković (Ruggerio di Raguzeo), and Benedikt Kotruljević -pioneers in numerous fields such as fluid mechanics, hydrotechnics, statics, geodesy, algebra, spherical geometry, mathematics, and quantum physics. Pythagoras, an ancient mathematician, scientist, astronomer, and philosopher, founded the Pythagorean School a renowned philosophical, mathematical, mystical, and scientific society. Archimedes, – prominent mathematician, physicist, and astronomer of antiquity, is regarded as one of the greatest mathematical minds of all time, despite limited knowledge of his personal life. Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi, often known simply as al-Khwarizmi, was a polymath whose influential works in mathematics, astronomy, and geography, written in Arabic, shaped scientific thought for centuries. Josip Ruđer Bošković (Ruggerio di Raguzeo) was a mathematician, astronomer, surveyor, physicist, and philosopher whose contributions significantly advanced scientific methodology. Benedikt Kotruljević, a 15th-century merchant, economist, diplomat, and sailor from Dubrovnik, produced impactful economic theories that influenced the evolution of commercial and economic knowledge across Europe. This paper analyzes their invaluable contributions to science, innovation, and philosophy, emphasizing their influence on subsequent generations of scientists, innovators, and philosophers.
Short information on the speaker: Vladica Ristic graduated in Architecture from the Faculty of Engineering Sciences of the University of Pristina, Kosovska Mitrovica, in 2002. He obtained his first title of Doctor of Urban and Environmental Management in 2013 at the European Center for Peace and Development of the United Nations University for Peace. In 2016, he obtained his second doctorate in the science of environmental protection at the Faculty of Applied Ecology Futura in Belgrade. In June 2022, he was elected to the position of full professor in the field of environmental sciences at the Faculty of Futura.
